A 6-day Serengeti Migration Safari typically focuses on witnessing the great wildebeest migration, which is one of nature’s most incredible phenomena. The safari takes you through key areas of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, home to diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

Key Highlights of the Safari:

  • Great Migration: The highlight is witnessing the migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles.
  • Big Cats: Serengeti is famous for its big cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards—so expect plenty of predator-prey drama.
  • Scenic Landscapes: From endless savannah plains to the dramatic river crossings, the Serengeti offers stunning views.
  • Ngorongoro Crater: If you visit the Crater, it’s an additional highlight with a chance to see the "Big Five" in one of the most concentrated wildlife areas in the world.

Best Time to Visit:

  • Dry Season (June - October): This is the peak season for migration and game viewing, particularly the Mara River crossing.
  • Green Season (November - May): During this time, there’s less crowding and the landscapes are lush and green. However, migration patterns can be harder to predict.

Accommodation Options:

  • Tented Camps: Many safari companies offer luxury tented camps that provide an authentic yet comfortable experience.
  • Lodges: Ranging from mid-range to luxury, lodges in the Serengeti offer excellent amenities and stunning views.
