We had an unforgettable impressive expedition of 7 days on Kilimanjaro, Machame Tour. Renga picked us from airport, took us to the hotel and made sure, that we have the... read more necessary gear for climbing. Next day, we met his helpful, polite and humorous crew of 9 people, and we started our adventure. We felt safe all the time, because during the hiking we were always accompanied by Renga and Chris, his well-educated assistant guide. Also, we got to know a lot of information and funny stories about the mountain and in generally life in Tanzania.

Our big backs, our tents, our mountain kitchen (a big tent with table, chairs and red tablecloth ;) ), food for 12 people for 7 days and other stuff were carried all time by the crew. The meals were very tasty, healthy and various. Our always started excellent due to hot drinks in the tent served by our waiter Joshua.

From the first day, Renga and Chris were sure and let us know about this, that we are able to conquer the top of Africa. So, we did it ;)

We chose the Machame route for 7 days and it was amazing. The nature was really beautiful and during all the climbing Renga and his crew always made us feel safe, cooked great healthy food, made sure our health was ok (checked oxygen saturation, heart beat, general feeling etc.), that we were enough hydrated and we ate properly. I would not hide that the summit was the most difficult part. Renga and his team made sure we reach to the top and adapted their speed to ours, which was pretty slow during the night. I am very grateful that Renga (which by the way was recommended by a colleague which already climbed Kilimanjaro) was our guide, as he and his team are professionals and I could only recommend his services for climbing Kilimanjaro. You will be in good hands and you will not regret for choosing Renga and his crew as tour guides.

Our guide... read more did his very best for us to see all the animals and knew a lot about all the animals. The chef made some very nice meals. We requested vegetarian food and thought that could be a challenge, but he made different meals every day that were packed with flavour (big plus!). The car and trip were comfortable. The camping sites were very welcoming and toilet buildings cleaner than we expected.

It... read more was an amazing trip! My boyfriend and I went to Africa for the first time. Oh my god, it's like another planet! What fantastic views! Indescribable beauty! You won't see this anywhere! We chose the Machame route. And despite the fact that almost all the days of the ascent were rainy - everything went great. Great food, caring guides, great team. I went to the top on the morning of January 1, 2022 - this is the best gift for the New Year!!! Unfortunately, my boyfriend got a terrible mountain rash and couldn't get up. Renga and his guys carefully lowered it down the same day. For which we are very grateful!!!

Separately, I want to note about the safari. Organization is top notch! We were in three national parks - Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorungoru. We saw almost all the animals. So cute and funny, scary and dangerous, adults and little babies. African nature is divine!

This definitely helped us to reach the summit, even under bad weather conditions. The food was delicious and well-balanced for the efforts we had to make every day. From the moment we arrived in Arusha (Kilimanjaro airport) till we departed everything was taken care of by mr Renga and his crew.
We climbed Kilimanjaro by the Lemosho route (8 days). We only had to carry our own day backpack. The rest of the lugage and tents and food etc was carried by the crew of Wings of Africa. The food on the mountain was incredible. Excellent breakfast, 3 course hot lunch and 3 course hot diner. Most of the energy bars and gels we brought with us weren't needed because of the 'all inclusive' treatment.
Because of bad weather forecast on our summit attempt we had to change our original schedule. The crew of Wings of Africa showed a lot of flexibility even though this meant a heavy day for the supporting crew and all the carriers because of extra long day (we went from Baranco camp to Barafu camp (skipped overnight stay in Karanga camp).
On the summit day Mr Renga guided our group to the summit of the Roof of Africa.
Overall we had a blast of a trip. Wings of Africa and mr Renga as a guide are highly recommended by us.
