Itinerary Aconcagua 360º Traverse to Normal Route
Day 1 – Arrival to Mendoza. (2508 ft – 760 m).
We are met on arrival at Mendoza airport and transferred to our comfortable hotel in the heart of
Mendoza. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore, tonight we meet of leader and other
expedition members (Note: Meals included in the land cost are designated as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 2 –Mendoza – Penitentes. (8992 ft / 2725 m)
After breakfast we transfer to the trekking permit office in Mendoza, (permits not included) from here we
travel around 3hrs to our comfortable hotel in Penitentes, 2500m.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 3 – Penitentes – Pampa de Leñas (10230 ft / 3100 m).
Drive to Quebrada de Vacas and start our first day trekking to our camp at Pampa de Leñas.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 4 – Pampa de Leñas – Casa de Piedra (11880 ft / 3600 m).
Trekking to Casa de Piedra Camp.
Meals: Breakfast, BoxLunch, Dinner.
Day 5 – Casa de Piedra – Plaza Argentina Base Camp (13200 ft / 4000 m)
Trek to Plaza Argentina base camp.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 6 – Plaza Argentina Base Camp (13200 ft / 4000 m).
Resting day at Plaza Argentina. Acclimatization day.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 7– Plaza Argentina – Camp 1 (16335 ft / 4950 m) – Plaza Argentina.
Acclimatization trek with transportation of material to Camp 1 and return to Plaza Argentina.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 8 – Plaza Argentina Base Camp (13200 ft / 4000 m).
Resting day in Plaza Argentina.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 9 – Plaza Argentina – Camp 1 (16335 ft / 4950 m).
Climb to Camp 1.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 10 – Camp 1 – Camp 2 (Upper Guanacos) (18095 ft / 5500 m) – Camp 1.
Equipment transport to Camp 2 and return to Camp 1.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 11 – Camp 1 – Camp 2 (Upper Guanacos) (18095 ft / 5500 m).
Stay overnight at Camp 2.
Meals: Breakfast, BoxLunch, Dinner.
Day 12 – Camp 2 (18095 ft / 5500 m)
Resting day at Camp 2.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 13– Camp 2 – Camp 3 (19740 ft / 6000 m).
Climb to Camp 3 by making a traverse to the Normal Route crossing along the base of the mythic Polish
Glacier.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 14– Camp 3 – Aconcagua Summit (22828 ft / 6960 m) – Camp 3.
From Camp 3 climb to the summit of Aconcagua. Today we will follow the normal North Face route. Return
to Camp 3.
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 15– Camp 3 – Plaza de Mulas base camp.
Today and following the Normal North side Route we descent from Camp 3 to Plaza de Mulas base camp.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 16 – Extra Day .
Spare day if necessary due to poor weather conditions
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 17 – Extra Day .
Spare day if necessary due to poor weather conditions
Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, Dinner.
Day 18 – Plaza de Mulas base camp – Penitentes-Mendoza.
Descent to Penitentes and from here drive to the Hotel in Mendoza.
Meals: Breakfast,Box Lunch.
Day 19 – Mendoza out.
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
Meals: Breakfast.

Climbing Permits of Aconcagua Park
Climbing Permits: Assistance for the obtention of ascension permits:
After you have make your reservation, you will have to send us alll your personal information so
we can make your Climbing permit , the one we give you when you arrive to Mendoza
We make all the tramits of the permits.
We do the online order form requested by the park placing all the information required and sent
by you to us, we must also to put the company that gives you the services, and to withdraw
them,they should have a stamp and should be signed by us.
If you don’t use services from a company, the permit is expensier .
Permits are needed in order to enter Aconcagua park.
Once in Mendoza, we will go together to pay and get the permit in the Permit office. If you want to
send the money in advantage, we will pay it for you and you will just need to get it to the Permit
office
The Climbing Permits is non refundable
The payment of the fee contributes to the maintenance of the Aconcagua Provincial Park

Permits are needed in order to enter Aconcagua park. They’re a governmental tax and must be withdrawn

INFORMACION GENERAL
Aconcagua Guides
We pride ourselves on the quality, experience and extensive skills of our guides.
They have many years of experience in the mountains and they care about the people who make their personal goal, so that you have the trip of a lifetime.
Our mountain guides are qualified professionals of the AAGM (Argentine Association of Mountain Guides) and EPGAMT (High Mountain and Trekking School).
The expedition is directed by experienced guides, with a minimum of 1 guide every 3-4
Members.
The guides and assistants prepare all the necessary foods in the walk.
Your equipment includes: VHF radio, a first aid kit complete with the appropriate medications for altitude sickness, ropes, an altimeter, clothing and professional equipment. All this will provide security and comfort.
Above the Plaza de Mulas, all the members of the group (guides, clients) must participate in the transport of cargo, start-up and rest of the camp, in addition to carrying personal equipment.
MUY IMPORTANTE
The previous notes and the itinerary are intended to be only a guide, thus being a typical itinerary. The daily itinerary is subject to changes at any time by the mountain guide, depending on the climatic conditions and the performance of the group members. As always, the chief mountain guide has the final word on the progress of the expedition, and if the weather and conditions are not good enough, there may not be a summit attempt. |
Porters
The porters take 20 kg each. As we don’t know how many kilos you want them to take, we’re sending you
the prices of each porter; you will know the final number of porters that you need once in Plaza Argentina.
Food service at Confluencia, Plaza de Mulas,Plaza Argentina and High Camps:
During the expedition our cooker prepare the food every day. This meals are carefully made by
profesional with balanced diets.
The base camp services are provided by ourselves
It’s offered at a dining-tent. It includes soups, potatoes, chicken, rice, pasta, salads, bread, and all
the necessary food for a tasty and caloric diet. The tent is established at Plaza Mulas serving as a
dining-room with a cook, tables, chairs, light, and all necessary food utensils.
The high altitude camps where our guides will be in charge of cooking. Those meals mentioned in
the itinerary are included.
If you are vegetarian or celiac, or if you need a special diet, please let us know
Hotel in Mendoza
The Hotel is 3 stars and is located in the center of Mendoza and is one block a Carrefour
supermarket, a block from the office Andesport ,Warao Travel and half block mountain stores to
rent mountain equipment if necessary.
You wil stay 2 nigth one in arrive and one to return the mountain. The acomodation is in double
room with breakfast incluided .If you need single room lets us know.

Hotel in Penitentes is located 8 km before Puente del Inca and the entrance of Horcones Valley’s
Aconcagua’s Park
TRANSFER MENDOZA /PENITENTES/ MENDOZA
We Make all the transfer in our own vehicles .We pick up from the airport to the Hotel in Mendoza
this trip take 15 minutes. The other days pickup from the hotel in Mendoza to the Penitentes ,this
trip take around three hours ,180 km from Mendoza.
TRANSFER TO THE ACONCAGUA TRAILHEAD
We Make all the transfer in our own vehicles. We pickup from Penitentes to Aconcagua
Park trailhead in Horcones Valley where you present the Climbing Permit for first time.
The mule services and others
The mules services are provided by ourselves, these animals are our property and have passed all
health checks and care provided by the Aconcagua Park. We have obtained the certificates
awarded by the Foundation Cullunche nonprofit organization. This organization is responsible for
caring for the mules that are working in the Park
the mules work only three months in the year , the other 9 months of the year the mules rest and eat pasture in country mountain.
The mules are animals very important for us. They work very hard for transport your equipment
and provide food to the camps in the mountain .
The staff working with the mules are called ARRIEROS, they are our called GAUCHOS
ARGENTINOS. They are trained for transport carfully our equipment
TRAVEL AND HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
There are no compulsory vaccination requirements necessary to enter Argentina, except for a Certificate on yellow fever, if you come from an infected area. Please check with your doctor about immunizations and health preparations before traveling. It is advisable that all customers have travel insurance during the course of the tour, but it is not mandatory.

Your luggage is lost during your flight
If your baggage does not arrive in Mendoza in time for the departure date of the expedition group to Penitentes, the expedition will be carried out as originally planned, and you will be responsible for the additional expenses caused by this.
